K to 12: The Time is Now For all its worth, the time is now, for a purposeful reform in the Philippine educational system. Many are still adamant in the belief that the new extended curriculum will only prolong the sacrifice of parents, particularly the marginalized poor, in sending their children to school. But what can not be denied is the salient features of the program that should be beneficial for both the parents and the students in the long term. A stronger early childhood education, relevant curriculum for learners, integrated and seamless learning, language proficiency, readiness to the future, and nurtured holistical development are innovations in the system that are expected translate to a well-rounded Filipino. These packets of development modalities will better prepare its beneficiaries to the challenges of the century. With this post, we aim to give a representation of the parents' readiness to accept the program that would consequently result in their willingness to fully "trust" the new educational system. As we all know, to win the trust of all stakeholders involved in a development intervention is crucial and beneficial in the overall success of program implementation. Please "like" this post if you believe that a better future for the Philippines begins in educating its youth anchored on a robust and competitive educational system or post your comments to start off, hopefully, meaningful course of discussion. Through your constructive opinions, we hope to encourage more parents to be more willing to give the program a chance if not immediately accept it. But this intervention is not without disregard for feedbacks on how the program can be improved for the greater benefit of all. For more information about the new curriculum, please visit .
