Sean Cubitt Inaugural Lecture - Political Aesthetics: Becoming Human
What is the internet made of? How does it work? In a time when politics is played out through media, how do the design and materials of media influence and constrain what we think of as politics? This talk asks whether the traditional questions of aesthetics about truth, beauty and the good can also be applied to the conduct of political life. Can ecology teach us new ways to think about both politics and aesthetics, new ways to be human?
