When Julius Caesar returns from war consumed with her own supremacy, Brutus and her friends resolve that Caesar’s ambition is a threat to the republic. Caesar must be assassinated. But once the deed is done, the idealistic conspirators have to reckon with the consequences of their actions and face Mark Antony and his crew in their quest to avenge Caesar’s death.
This re-imagining of W. Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar is a political drama that wrestles with the conflicting demands of honour, friendship and power.
